Sports update

The spring sports are wrapping up - softball is done - we also finished up the end of baseball. Mr. C finished with a bang, pulling in several home runs and quite a few RBI's and doing a great job. Still resolutely resisting the coach who *really* wants him to sign up for football. He is a pretty good athlete and would probably do well, but there are less injurious sports I think.

He pitched at his second to last game - the first time he'd officially pitched in any game and he was striking out the players consistently. The coaches were excited and a little peeved that he had stated he absolutely didn't want to pitch at the beginning of the season. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have a camera.

I do have pictures from the recent swim meet.



The smile was because he could see the wire above him and knew he was almost to the end. He got 1st in his heat and 2nd in his age/gender group for the meet, pulling in points for his team (they only count the top 3 finishers for points).



Finishing all the way to the end, although backstroke is not her best stroke and she would have much preferred to be competing in the breast stroke.
